Job summary

Neuroscale seeks a Founding Staff Software Engineer to scale our core backend, APIs, and data workflows. You will collaborate with AI, frontend, and product teams to build enterprise-grade backends using modern Python/FastAPI stacks in a fast-paced startup environment.

This hands-on role demands ownership, architectural judgment, and mentoring while delivering reliable systems on AWS with PostgreSQL, Redis, and OpenSearch.

Qualifications

• Backend engineer with strong Python and FastAPI experience.
• Production-grade backend systems knowledge.
• Experience with large-scale data and distributed workflows.
• Experience deploying on AWS and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building REST APIs for SaaS products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems powering Neuroscale AI.
• Develop and scale REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build production-ready systems with PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, Celery, and Temporal.
• Architect and optimize systems for large-scale datasets and high-throughput workflows.
• Own deployments on AWS and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture and engineering standards.
