Complify AI is building an AI-native platform for audit and compliance, starting with SOX. Our agents automate evidence collection, testing, documentation, and workflows that traditionally require significant manual work.

We’re a small, fast-moving team where engineers work directly with customers and have significant ownership over what we build and how we build it.

• Comfortable being handed a problem instead of a spec.
• Navigate ambiguity independently and decide next steps.
• Enjoy talking to customers and understanding how they work.
• Have strong product instincts and care about outcomes, not just shipping code.
• Willing to work across the stack and learn what’s needed.
• Move with urgency and own issues when things break.
• Excited about pushing what AI agents can reliably do in production.

We’re building Complify AI, an AI-native platform automating some of the most painful and manual work in audit and compliance. We’re already working with 40+ public companies and are backed by Conviction.

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer who wants to own problems, not tickets :)

What you’ll do

• Talk directly to customers. Understand their workflows, pain points, and what actually needs to be solved.
• Turn ambiguity into products. Take messy problems with no clear spec, figure out the right solution, and build it.
• Build AI-native products. Design agents, evals, and workflows around rapidly evolving AI capabilities.
• Move fast. Ship quickly, learn from real usage, and iterate.
• Shape the company. Influence our product, architecture, engineering culture, and how we work as an early member of the team.
