  • No formal university degree is required. Demonstrated skills, judgment, integrity, and measurable results are more important.

Responsibilities

  • Audit Aunomay's website, product pages, pricing, offers, shipping information, trust elements, cart, checkout, and post-purchase experience.
  • Research customer segments, purchase motivations, objections, competitors, and product opportunities in the U.S. book-lover and gifting markets.
  • Identify the products and customer segments most suitable for initial paid acquisition tests.
  • Verify and improve GA4, Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, WooCommerce purchase events, UTM parameters, and campaign attribution.
  • Develop testable offers, landing-page messaging, ad copy, hooks, creative briefs, and campaign concepts.
  • Create or coordinate static images and short-form video advertisements using existing product assets and approved creative tools.

Job description

Help Aunomay acquire its first repeatable customers

Aunomay is an early-stage direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand creating book-inspired apparel and lifestyle products for customers in the United States and other international markets.

We are hiring a hands-on Founding E-commerce Growth Specialist to help validate customer demand, acquire our first measurable customers, and build the foundation for repeatable growth.

This is not a strategy-only position, a social media posting role, or an agency account-management position. You will work directly with the founder and take ownership of the initial customer-acquisition cycle: customer research, offer development, tracking verification, creative testing, paid advertising, conversion-rate optimization, and performance reporting.

What success looks like

Success is not measured by impressions, followers, clicks, or a single discounted order. Success means generating reliable data and moving Aunomay toward a customer-acquisition model that can be repeated and scaled.

During the initial 60-day engagement, you will be expected to:

  • Identify Aunomay’s highest-potential customer segments and products.
  • Verify that advertising, analytics, and purchase tracking are accurate.
  • Develop and launch structured creative and offer tests.
  • Generate the first verified purchases from cold audiences when the approved testing budget and market response support it.
  • Determine whether the primary growth constraint is the product, price, offer, creative, website, audience, or checkout experience.
  • Build a documented testing and reporting process that Aunomay can continue using.
Initial engagement

This position begins as a paid 60-day contractor engagement of approximately 10-20 hours per week. The working schedule is flexible and asynchronous, with two scheduled progress meetings each week.

Strong performance may lead to a longer-term position with expanded responsibility for customer acquisition, retention, creative strategy, and e-commerce growth.

About the person we need

You are a practical operator who can move between analytics, advertising platforms, product pages, creative assets, and customer research. You are comfortable working with an early-stage business where not every process has already been defined.

You must be able to explain what you tested, why you tested it, what the data showed, and what should happen next. We value clear thinking, honest reporting, disciplined experimentation, and contribution margin more than vanity metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Audit Aunomay's website, product pages, pricing, offers, shipping information, trust elements, cart, checkout, and post-purchase experience.
  • Research customer segments, purchase motivations, objections, competitors, and product opportunities in the U.S. book-lover and gifting markets.
  • Identify the products and customer segments most suitable for initial paid acquisition tests.
  • Verify and improve GA4, Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, WooCommerce purchase events, UTM parameters, and campaign attribution.
  • Develop testable offers, landing-page messaging, ad copy, hooks, creative briefs, and campaign concepts.
  • Create or coordinate static images and short-form video advertisements using existing product assets and approved creative tools.
  • Launch, manage, and optimize Meta advertising campaigns using controlled testing structures and clearly defined budgets.
  • Recommend when Google Shopping, retargeting, influencer outreach, organic content, or additional channels should be introduced.
  • Improve product-page and checkout conversion rates through structured CRO recommendations and experiments.
  • Set up or improve welcome, abandoned-cart, browse-abandonment, and post-purchase email flows.
  • Monitor revenue, conversion rate, CAC, AOV, ROAS, MER, contribution margin, refunds, and other agreed performance indicators.
  • Provide a concise weekly report explaining results, problems, experiments, learnings, and next actions.
  • Document campaign structures, naming conventions, audiences, creative tests, tracking procedures, and important business learnings.
  • Immediately disclose tracking errors, overspending, account restrictions, unprofitable campaigns, or other material risks.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in e-commerce growth, paid acquisition, performance marketing, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated experience acquiring customers for U.S.-focused DTC or e-commerce brands.
  • Experience personally managing Meta Ads campaigns, not only supervising an agency or external media buyer.
  • Ability to present relevant case studies with clear metrics and explain your individual contribution.
  • Experience working with WooCommerce, Shopify, or another major e-commerce platform.
  • Working knowledge of conversion tracking, attribution, GA4, Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and UTM conventions.
  • Ability to analyze product economics, including CAC, AOV, gross margin, contribution margin, refund rate, and break-even ROAS.
  • Strong written English and the ability to write clear customer-facing advertising and product-page copy.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize high-impact tasks, and communicate risks without hiding negative results.
  • No formal university degree is required. Demonstrated skills, judgment, integrity, and measurable results are more important.
Preferred but not required
  • Experience with print-on-demand apparel, gifting products, books, reading communities, or interest-based consumer brands.
  • Experience creating direct-response static and short-form video advertisements.
  • Experience with email automation, product feeds, Google Merchant Center, or Google Shopping.
  • Experience working with early-stage founders and limited testing budgets.

  • Meaningful ownership of Aunomay’s initial growth and customer-acquisition systems.
