Job summary

Boston University School of Law seeks a Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor to be the founding Director of the Tax Clinic. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track clinical faculty position with a projected start date of July 1, 2027, and an expectation of opening the clinic for enrollment for Fall 2028.

The Director will design the clinic, teach the seminar and fieldwork components, supervise students, recruit instructors, and build partnerships with local organizations to

Qualifications

• Massachusetts bar and federal bar eligibility is preferred.
• Minimum five years post-JD legal work or law teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, design structure and launch the Tax Clinic.
• Develop clinic policies including a conflict check system.
• Teach seminars and fieldwork courses; run a VITA site.
• Supervise students; recruit and coordinate part-time faculty.
• Maintain and develop relationships with local Boston organizations.
