Job summary

Davis School Chicago is seeking a visionary Director of College Counseling to build the four-year counseling program that walks every student from day one to a best-fit college offer.

The Director will report to the Principal and establish a mission-aligned college counseling vision, lead admissions strategy, and develop partnerships for a new Jewish, college-preparatory high school opening in downtown Chicago in 2027.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or Educational Leadership preferred.
• 3+ years in college counseling, admissions, or educational leadership; independent, college-preparatory, or faith-based school settings preferred.
• Illinois Professional Educator License with a School Counselor endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a four-year developmental counseling program aligned with ASCA/NACAC standards.
• Oversee admissions season: reports, transcripts, counselor recommendations, and essay revision pipeline.
• Build college partnerships and maintain a national college network to support student placement.
