Job summary

Weave is building the definitive platform for understanding and improving how engineering teams work. You will be the Founding Developer Advocate, owning the Weave Router, the demos and content that teach engineers how to measure AI-era engineering, and the community of developers who make Weave the default in their orgs.

This role is five days in SF, with regular travel to meetups and conferences. You will partner with our leaders to shape product, engineering culture and developer experience

Qualifications

• Shipped production code and can build the demo.
• Writes posts, docs or READMEs with an audience in mind.
• Built an audience or community (DX, X, newsletter, or open-source project).
• Regularly uses AI tooling and has hands-on coding in the terminal.
• Has opinions on engineering measurement metrics (DORA, SPACE, DevEx).
• Role requires five days in office in SF.

Responsibilities

• Build in public. Ship demos, integrations, plugins and sample projects on top of Weave and the Weave Router.
• Own the Weave Router community. Manage issues, PRs, releases, docs, contributors.
• Write the technical content. Deep dives, tutorials, benchmarks and integration guides.
• Own developer experience. Ensure integrations are quick to adopt and docs/SDKs are solid.
• Show up where engineers are. Meetups, hackathons, livestreams, podcasts, X, Hacker News.
• Feed the community back into product. Bring engineer feedback into the roadmap.
• Partner with marketing and sales for launches and credibility.
• Be flexible: some days shipping a plugin, others recording demos, triaging router issues or debugging live.
