We’re looking for a Founding Deployment Strategist with 3+ years of experience to work directly with customers and help them successfully deploy, adopt, and scale our product.
This is a highly cross-functional role spanning implementation, customer success, technical problem-solving, and product strategy. You’ll serve as the critical bridge between our customers and engineering team—helping customers get the most value from the product today while identifying what we need to build tomorrow.
You’ll work closely with customers post-sale to understand their workflows, systems, and data. You’ll translate those requirements into effective deployment strategies, help configure and integrate the product into their existing environment, and own the customer relationship through the initial deployment and adoption process.
As an early member of the team, you’ll have significant ownership and the opportunity to help define how we deploy our product and work with customers at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ workflows, operational processes, systems, and data.
- Design and execute deployment strategies tailored to each customer's environment.
- Work closely with Engineering to configure and integrate the product with customers’ existing systems.
- Map customer data and workflows into the product and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Perform basic data cleaning, organization, and preparation to help customers get up and running quickly.
- Own the customer relationship throughout the initial deployment, onboarding, and adoption process.
- Establish regular customer touchpoints to understand progress, identify challenges, and drive successful product adoption.
- Monitor logs, system activity, and error signals to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback and identify product improvements.
- Help define and improve our deployment processes, playbooks, and best practices as we scale.
- Travel to customer sites when needed to support implementations and build strong customer relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Implementation, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Customer Success, Deployment, or a similar function.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand systems, workflows, APIs, data, and integrations.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, or a strong willingness to learn and work with them.
- Excellent customer empathy and the ability to understand complex operational challenges.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Strong ownership mentality and willingness to take responsibility for problems from identification through resolution.
- Flexible and hands-on approach—you’re willing to step outside your core responsibilities when the situation requires it.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and company leadership.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco five days per week.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, or operations-focused customers.
- Experience working with ERP systems, operational software, or complex customer data.
- Experience deploying or supporting AI-powered products or AI agents.
- Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Experience building implementation processes, customer deployment playbooks, or technical onboarding programs.
