Job summary

eNGINE builds Technical Teams and hires a Data Engineer to join a growing organization serving HVAC/building automation. You will become the company’s founding Data Engineer, partnering with the VP of Engineering to modernize data infrastructure and establish a Snowflake-based platform from scratch.

You’ll design a modern data platform, own ELT pipelines from Salesforce, HubSpot, and more, and build dbt models across layers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake data platforms and data modeling.
• Proficient in Python for data pipelines and API integrations.
• Strong SQL skills including complex queries and modeling.
• Hands-on with dbt Core for modular models and testing.
• Experience building ELT pipelines with Airbyte or Fivetran.
• Familiarity with data governance, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own a Snowflake-based data platform and architecture.
• Develop ELT pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
• Build and maintain dbt Core models across layers (staging to gold).
• Create unified data models for customers, products, revenue, and more.
• Develop Python-based data synchronization jobs and API clients.
• Own data quality, monitoring, and reconciliation across pipelines.
• Build APIs to expose Snowflake data to internal apps with FastAPI.
• Design access controls and security for data access.
• Develop dashboards using Tableau/Power BI/Looker/Streamlit.
