Qualifications

• Approximately 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, data warehousing, or similar roles.
• Proven hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Proven dbt experience with transformations.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong foundation in data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Experience integrating data from multiple source systems for analytics.
• Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues.
• Understanding of data governance, documentation, and cataloging.
• Ability to work across the full backend data lifecycle from ingestion to presentation.
• Comfortable helping establish structure in evolving environments.
• Excellent communication with analysts, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and develop the Snowflake data warehouse.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines across core systems.
• Develop, test, and maintain dbt models and transformations.
• Implement and optimize ingestion processes with Fivetran or similar tools.
• Establish robust data structures and transformations for consistency.
• Create data catalogs, documentation, and governance practices.
• Support data architecture decisions including warehouse design and modeling.
• Collaborate with consultants and transition the platform to internal ownership.
• Link backend engineering decisions to analytics and reporting requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.
• Help establish data engineering standards as the function grows.
• Contribute to future AI initiatives and platform evolution.
