Isembard launches a state-of-the-art CNC center in Wichita, KS and seeks a Master Machinist to bridge Franchisor standards with local shop success. You’ll install equipment, write and optimize programs, and establish standardized workflows in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four (4) years in a CNC machining environment.
• Engineering or Manufacturing studied at College/degree conferred, or tech school preferred.
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T tolerances.
• Highly proficient in CAM software and adapting to franchise tech stacks.
• Proven track record of Setup and Programming from STEP to finished part without hand-holding.
• CNC machining on a range of machines, multi-axis preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install CNC machinery and related tech (5-axis and 3-axis).
• Maintain and calibrate factory equipment.
• Interview and assess future technical hires.
• Oversee tool and fixturing procurement and inventory.
• Implement franchise standard operating procedures.
• Document machining solutions for team use.
• Turn engineering drawings/STEP into G-code using CAM programs.
• Prove-out programs on mills and lathes.
• Ensure quality and prevent non-conforming parts.
• Engage with customers and provide feedback on design for manufacturing.
• Manage shop floor issues and compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Attend meetings and maintain equipment inspection cadence.
