Job summary

Isembard Iowa is launching a state-of-the-art CNC machining centre and seeks a Master Machinist to lead the shop installation, set up standardized workflows, and act as the technical authority for customers.

As Founding Shop Lead, you will program, setup and operate CNC machines, build a growing technical team, and evolve into a production manager as the factory expands, all while adhering to AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Manufacturing degree preferred.
• Minimum four years in a CNC machining environment with supervision experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T tolerances.
• Proven ability to set up and program parts from STEP files without hand-holding.

Responsibilities

• Launch and expand CNC capability; install machines and set up workflows.
• Implement franchise standard operating procedures and document solutions.
• Program, set up and operate CNC machines; prove-out on mills and lathes.
• Identify improvements to tooling, fixtures, and quality processes.
• Manage staff performance and ensure conformance to quality standards.
