Job summary

Sam’s Club Katy is opening a brand-new club and seeks reliable, detail-oriented team members to help bring it to life. As a founding Backroom Associate, you’ll help receive shipments, organize merchandise, and support club operations from day one.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, ensure inventory accuracy, safety, and efficiency, and collaborate with a supportive team. This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities to grow with Walmart.

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification OR will obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of job entry date.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process shipments in accordance with company procedures
• Verify merchandise counts, organize receiving reports, and route merchandise to appropriate areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and receiving area
• Track and process claims, including damaged goods and returned merchandise
• Prepare and manage clearance and liquidation items
• Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety standards and guidelines
• Conduct safety checks and report unsafe conditions to management
• Support inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and maintain proper merchandise handling
