Job summary

RangeWater Residential in Atlanta, GA, seeks a founding-engineer to own our production platform end-to-end. You’ll design backend services, data stores, and deployment, then monitor and iterate with a small team.

You will be on-call for incidents, build with modern AI tooling, and partner with business users to deliver scalable solutions. The role demands 6+ years in backend/distributed systems, strong judgment, and the ability to ship across backend, infra, and integration layers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building backend or distributed systems, with end-to-end ownership.
• Ability to design and operate distributed systems and APIs; strong data modeling and security.
• Experience running production databases (SQL/NoSQL) and on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire platform: backend services, data stores, deployment, and uptime.
• Hardening the system: security, tests, and robust documentation.
• Ship the stakeholder backlog at startup pace and lay the technical foundation for future growth.
