Qualifications

• Senior or staff-level analytics/data engineer with ownership of business data models.
• Strong SQL and dbt skills; experience with modern warehouses and orchestration tools.
• Depth in building ingestion pipelines, sourcing data, and troubleshooting production data issues.

Responsibilities

• Define foundational data models across product usage, customers, financial metrics, and GTM activity.
• Translate business questions into metric definitions and reusable dbt models.
• Build a semantic layer for self-serve analytics with trusted metrics.
• Design and operate ingestion pipelines for product events and business data.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on instrumentation, event schemas, and data contracts.
• Establish data quality, governance, documentation, and lineage standards.
• Engage with executives to clarify requests, explain tradeoffs, and build data confidence.
• Own reliability across ingestion, transformation, and data-consuming systems.
• Set technical direction and lay a scalable foundation for the team.
