Job summary

LenderBox in Dallas, TX, seeks an engineering owner to take the platform into production and scale it for customers. You’ll work directly with the founder and a small in-house team to harden the system, improve accuracy, and optimize unit economics of inference.

You will own the document intelligence pipeline across appraisals, rent rolls, tax returns, leases, and loan documents—from ingestion to structured outputs—with a focus on verifiability and cost efficiency. This is founding-scale work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production ML/AI systems.
• LLM-backed systems with retrieval and pipelines.
• Eval-driven development with measurable targets.
• Fluent SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
• AI-native workflow using frontier tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the document intelligence pipeline from ingestion to structured output across appraisals, rent rolls, tax returns, leases, and loan docs.
• Develop eval harnesses, golden datasets, and regression suites to ensure verifiable extractions.
• Architect data pipelines and the internal repository for scalable document processing.
• Own unit economics of inference and optimize cost per page.
• Ensure production reliability, observability, and SOC 2/compliance readiness.
