Spur in the SF Bay Area is hiring a Founding Engineer to own a zero-to-one product and its infrastructure. You will build the secure connector and runtime that understands complex enterprise systems, the developer tooling, and the analysis engine that transforms legacy code.

Qualifications

• Experience designing agentic workflows and verification passes.
• Familiarity with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) is a plus, LangGraph preferred.
• Strong inclination for shipping reliable AI-powered tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design the agentic layer including self-checks, reflection and verification passes.
• Architect inference paths with low-latency serving and token-level observability.
• Productionize prompt pipelines, retrieval and light fine-tuning for impactful outcomes.
• Hands-on use of AI tools with practical applications in development, testing and support.
• Demonstrate ownership, crisp communication and comfortable decision-making with partial information.
• Move fast while learning new stacks and maintaining system safety.
