Job summary

Augrade Inc is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to join their core AI/3D team in San Francisco. Your role will involve designing and owning the scan-to-BIM pipeline, focusing on creating models from 3D spatial data. You will improve algorithms for classifying and reconstructing building elements, ensuring the outputs are usable for architects and engineers.

The position requires strong skills in Python or C++, and experience in 3D computer vision. Benefits include generous PTO, ESOPs, and potential visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 3D computer vision, LiDAR/point cloud processing, or large-scale geometric reconstruction.
• Strong architectural skills to ship end-to-end pipelines.
• Ability to work fast in ambiguous problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship the full scan-to-BIM stack including ingestion, registration, and semantic segmentation.
• Build algorithms for classifying and reconstructing building elements from noisy scan data.
• Translate model outputs into IFC-compliant structures for AEC teams.
