• Willingness to handle pragmatic engineering work in a small team.
• Impact-driven orientation and experience building something used or paid for.
• Location: San Francisco-based or willing to relocate; US work authorization; full-time in-office.

• Apply state-of-the-art computer vision, LLM, and multimodal AI techniques to real-world construction documents.
• Prioritize the intelligence layer (modeling, data pipelines, and inference) over the application UI.
• Rapidly prototype models and iterate on them based on user feedback and real data.
• Build and deploy production AI systems that operate on noisy, heterogeneous inputs.
• Collaborate closely with product and users to surface and solve high-impact problems.
• Embrace pragmatic engineering work, including data labeling, ETL, and deployment tasks when needed.
• Communicate progress and tradeoffs with empathy and transparency across the team.
