Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is hiring on-site in San Francisco for an engineer to deploy AI-powered software to industrial distributors. You will tailor data ingestion, lead customer conversations, and translate insights into product improvements.

Build prototypes, internal tools, and production workflows that directly address customer needs and scale value. You will work closely with customers during deployments, showcasing demos, supporting pilots, and expanding opportunities as workflows evolve.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in full-stack or backend engineering with production software.
• Proficiency with Python and TypeScript.
• A degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience presenting technical work to non-technical buyers and working directly with customers in a forward-deployed role.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
• Evidence of building and shipping a zero-to-one project with real users, an open-source project, or a venture.
• Experience with hardware, procurement, supply chain, ERP systems, or legacy integrations is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Customize data ingestion for customer file formats, ERP systems, and business workflows.
• Lead customer discovery conversations and site visits, then translate what you learn into product improvements.
• Build and ship prototypes, internal tools, and production workflows that solve customer problems.
• Develop AI agents and LLM-powered workflows to automate manual sales and quoting tasks.
• Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, support pilots, and build technical relationships with customer teams.
• Own customer deployments and help customers realize value while identifying further opportunities to improve their workflows.
