Job summary

Product Pulse is hiring a Founding Engineer to own the AI CFO agent workstream, with roughly 75% backend AI focus and 25% lending infra. You’ll lead delivery from day one, shipping end-to-end capabilities in a Slack-native, AI-tool-heavy development cycle.

The role targets new grads through 5 years of experience, requires strong Python backend skills and fluency with AI tooling, and favors zero-to-one startup builders in New York.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of engineering experience (new grad to 5 years)
• Strong Python backend fundamentals: APIs, async, databases, cloud deployment
• AI-native daily usage of Claude Code, Codex, or comparable tools
• Top university CS/technical degree or notable startup/big tech background

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the AI CFO agent’s tool surface to enable tasks that used to take a CFO/CEO an hour or more
• Improve agent trajectory quality and breadth of tools to reliably ship end-to-end outcomes
• Compose existing tools and build new ones (email composition, document filling, payload generation, integrations)
• Contribute to the underlying infrastructure supporting both lending and AI agent surfaces
• Operate as a tech lead from day one with fast ramp, ownership of delivery, and a Slack-native development flow
