Job summary

Founders School is seeking a Founding Art Director to lead an AI-first art team in NYC. You will define the art direction for our entrepreneurship simulation platform, own the visual identity, and build workflows across all stages of art production.

You will work directly with the Simulation Game Director and Founding Technical Director, building a scalable AI art pipeline and setting the house style that makes the game instantly recognizable to players and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be an artist on successful commercial games.
• You have hands-on experience with the full game art pipeline from concept to in-engine.
• You are in the top tier of AI users in game art and have shipped generative art pipelines.
• You have created a style bible that others followed.

Responsibilities

• Define art direction and style for platform and simulations.
• Own the visual identity and style bible for all assets.
• Build and optimize workflows for the art process.
• Develop and integrate an AI art pipeline into the engine and tools.
• Collaborate with Simulation Game Director and Founding Technical Director.
• Lead the art team and mentor junior artists.
