Description du poste

The company

Silpa Recruiting, the staffing division of Silpa Companies, LLC, is partnering with a venture-backed marketplace where brands discover, evaluate, and close sponsorship deals across sports and live events on this Founding Account Executive (Brand Partnerships) search. Sponsorship is a $100 billion-plus global market that still largely runs on cold emails, spreadsheets, and handshake deals, with no centralized way to buy it the way brands buy digital media; our client is building that. Its brand customers include well-known national names across fintech, consumer delivery, prediction markets, and social apps, and its properties include major league sports franchises, a top-tier professional soccer club, a luxury hospitality brand, and a professional sports league. Our client has raised nearly $7 million from respected sports-technology and early-stage investors, including a dedicated sports-tech venture fund and an investment group tied to a major league franchise’s ownership. The culture is built around moonshot goals, customer obsession, full ownership, original thinking and thoughtful dissent, and above all high agency. Our client is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a workforce that reflects a diversity of experience and perspective; all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristic. Silpa Companies is a national IT consulting and staffing firm empowering organizations across multiple industries through AI adoption, Master Data Management, Data and Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps/GitOps, Fractional C‑Suite leadership, Digital Transformation, and M&A advisory for private equity and software ventures. Our staffing practice connects top technical talent with the venture-backed, growth-stage, and enterprise organizations that need them.

The role

Our client is hiring a founding closer for the brand (demand) side of its marketplace, and describes this as one of the most important hires it will make. The founders started the selling, the motion works, brands are buying, and money is moving; your job is to take it, close harder than they can, and turn it into a repeatable playbook. You will close the real brand deals: higher-value, higher-touch opportunities that need discovery, several conversations, and someone sharp on the phone. A business development representative sources and qualifies pipeline, books meetings, and handles smaller transactional deals, and you will also self-source. You own every deal end to end, from first touch through signed contract and the post-deal relationship. The role is fully in office five days per week in SoHo, New York, with a demanding, high-intensity schedule typical of an early-stage company. Success typically looks like this: early on you are closing brand deals the founders would otherwise have carried; by month six you own a predictable pipeline and have documented cadences, objection handling, and a deal desk; within the year the motion runs beyond you and you are positioned to hire and lead reps as the function grows.

What you will do
  • Own the full brand‑deal pipeline, from first email through signed contract and the post-deal relationship.
  • Build and run outbound to brand marketing leaders across CPG, beverage, fintech, gaming, DTC, and other categories, alongside self‑sourced pipeline.
  • Close higher‑value, higher‑touch brand deals that require discovery, multiple conversations, and strong live selling, while a BDR handles sourcing, qualification, and smaller transactional deals.
  • Run discovery and demos that show buyers sponsorship opportunities they cannot find elsewhere, and capture a clear brief for each brand.
  • Own the numbers: pipeline, conversion, deal velocity, and revenue.
  • Write the sales playbook, including cadences, objection handling, and deal desk, so the motion scales past you.
  • Feed product insights from the field back to the founders and engineering team.
  • Represent our client where brands gather, including major industry festivals, marketing conferences, and client dinners.
  • Hire and lead reps as the brand sales function grows.
What we are looking for
  • Two to four years of closing experience; what you have done matters more than where you went to school or how long it took.
  • A record of keeping score and winning: you can state your quota and attainment, and you have been at or near the top of every leaderboard you have been on.
  • Something you built from zero to one (a territory, vertical, sales motion, or company) that exists because you made it, unasked.
  • A deal you closed that should not have been closable.
  • Competition at a high level, as an athlete, founder, or top‑ranked rep, and a need for a real scoreboard.
  • Experience selling without a finished playbook, and enjoying it; ambiguity is fuel.
  • An understanding of how brands buy, or the ability to learn it faster than anyone.
  • Ability to work in the New York office five days per week on an intensive early‑stage schedule.
Eligibility
  • Authorized to work in the United States; our client describes visa sponsorship as limited and evaluates it case by case.
  • Able to work fully in office five days per week in SoHo, New York, NY.
  • Willing and able to travel to industry events and client meetings.
  • Successful completion of reference and background checks.
Why join

This is a founding‑closer seat at a funded marketplace with proven demand: brands are already buying, and you inherit a working motion rather than a blank slate. You will own the most important deals end to end, write the playbook, and have a clear path to building and leading the brand sales team. The base salary range is $110,000 to $160,000 with meaningful early equity. Our client includes lunch in the office, a travel and expense budget, and a personalized perks philosophy covering things like gym, dinners, vacation, and education, shaped around what matters to you. The pace is intense and the bar is high, which is the point for the right competitor.

Benefits
  • $110,000 to $160,000 base salary
  • Meaningful early equity
  • Lunch included in the office
  • Travel and expense budget
  • Personalized perks (for example gym, dinners, vacation, education budget)
