Excel Academy Charter Schools in Rhode Island seeks a high school math teacher for its founding 10th grade cohort. You will deliver rigorous, college-preparatory instruction and partner with the department to refine curriculum and assessments.

The role emphasizes feedback-driven growth and active participation in a dynamic school culture. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, RI certification or in process, and prior urban public/charter teaching experience.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Rhode Island certification (Secondary Grades Mathematics Teacher 6-12) or in process.
• Two years’ urban public/charter teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Teach High School Math to founding 10th grade students.
• Collaborate with department on curriculum refinement and implementation.
• Design and implement rigorous assessments to measure mastery.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment using Excel’s strategies.
• Provide coverage during non-instructional time as needed.
• Be a productive member of the Excel Academy community.
• Support the school mission and adapt to change as needed.
