The role requires a bachelor’s degree and Rhode Island teacher certification, with bilingual candidates preferred. You will collaborate with peers, manage classroom routines, and drive student success using data-informed instruction.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years teaching experience in a diverse public school setting preferred, but not required.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required.
• Experience with personalized learning and the ability to leverage technology to help all scholars succeed.
• Certification in relevant coursework.
• CPI certified.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide scholars in developing personalized learning strategies, emotional intelligence, and self-directed learning.
• Create an environment of respect and rapport with students.
• Collaborate with team members for planning and reflective practice.
• Establish routines and procedures for efficient classroom operation.
• Manage scholar behavior to maintain high engagement with content.
• Model precise language to communicate expectations clearly to scholars.
• Use questions and discussions to promote higher-order thinking and metacognition.
• Engage all scholars in challenging tasks with appropriate scaffolding.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide instructional planning.
