Job summary

Ulysses, a San Francisco-based ocean tech company, seeks a Founder’s Associate to work directly with the co-founder and president to expand the sales pipeline and close deals. You will handle outbound prospecting, meeting prep, and proposal development, sitting across defense and commercial opportunities from day one.

You’ll build and own outreach strategies, coordinate demos and conferences, and manage follow‑ups.

Qualifications

• Experience in a real sales function or startup environment.
• Understanding of pipeline stages, qualification, and follow-up importance.
• Proven ability to build outreach plans and drive meetings.

Responsibilities

• Run outbound to build meetings with non-traditional prospects.
• Prepare briefs for meetings including context and asks.
• Build proposals, capability briefs, and materials that move deals forward.
• Own CRM and pipeline; manage weekly reviews and flag stalled deals.
• Research new verticals and map buying committees for targeting.
• Support demo logistics, conference prep, and field operations.
