Job summary

The University of North Texas System in Denton is seeking a Visual Arts Technician for the Foundations Programs. You will provide technical support, maintain equipment, ensure shop safety, and assist faculty and students with studio operations and instructional resources.

This role collaborates with the Foundations Coordinator to support curriculum delivery, manage tool checkout, and ensure compliant, safe, and well-equipped classrooms for the CVAD Foundations program year-round.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2+ years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and work collaboratively with staff and students.
• Knowledge of safety practices for shop environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for Foundations classes and studios to ensure safe, efficient instructional environments.
• Maintain equipment, tool checkout systems, and instructional resources.
• Offer technical and logistical support to faculty, graduate students, adjuncts, and students.
• Coordinate program resources and documentation within university platforms.
• Assist with onboarding instructors and coordinating program events.
• Support budget, purchasing, inventory, and procurement processes.
