Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking an experienced Foundations Superintendent to lead safe, efficient delivery of foundation works on major construction or infrastructure projects in the Virginia Beach area. You will oversee site operations from mobilisation to completion, ensuring works align with approved designs, programmes and specifications.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience supervising foundation/substructure packages.
• Relevant technical qualification or site management certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, ground conditions, surveying requirements and quality control processes.
• Confident interpreting drawings and specifications and making good decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, plant, materials and specialist resources.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and inspection and test plans.
• Monitor progress against programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Lead daily site briefings and oversee permits and temporary works.
• Inspect completed activities and manage interfaces with other trades.
• Ensure environmental controls and site standards are maintained.
