Job summary

York Basement Waterproofing is seeking an entry-level Apprentice to learn high-demand waterproofing and encapsulation trades. This 100% on-the-job training position offers a clear path from Apprentice to Certified Waterproofing Technician within 12 months.

As an Apprentice, you will assist lead technicians with equipment, prepare crawl spaces, install vapor barriers, and help stage drainage. PPE is provided and benefits begin after a 90-day probation, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• No prior waterproofing experience required.
• Valid driver's license and transportation to York HQ.
• Willingness to work in crawl spaces with PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technicians with equipment setup, protective floor coverings, and material staging.
• Rake, grade, and level crawl space soil beds to prepare surfaces for heavy vapor barriers.
• Install heavy-duty 20-mil antimicrobial vapor barrier liners across crawl space floors and perimeter walls.
• Help stage drainage aggregate, run discharge piping, and clean up job sites at day end.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $20.00 – $25.00 per hour to start with accelerated 90-day wage reviews.
