Job summary

The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice is seeking a Development Associate, Partnerships to support foundation and government partnerships as part of Astraea's Development team. This full-time role focuses on advancing institutional giving and donor engagement with a $13M annual budget, reporting to the Associate Director of Institutional Partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in social justice, human rights and philanthropic fields.
• Outstanding writing and research skills; grant writing or fundraising experience a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships.
• Experience with fundraising or part of a fundraising team a plus.
• Familiarity with Raiser's Edge a plus.
• Commitment to LGBTQI, feminist, racial and economic justice movements.

Responsibilities

• Manage grants tracking calendar and coordination across teams for timely proposals and reports.
• Develop, write and assemble proposals, reports and materials for foundations and major donors.
• Support moves management for institutional partnerships.
• Conduct prospect research to identify potential funders and donors.
• Manage reporting for donor-advised funds and communications.
• Maintain donor files in Box and Raiser's Edge; track funder interactions.
• Assist in funder engagement activities like webinars and panels.
• Provide scheduling support for meetings and events.
• Assist with donor acknowledgments and mailings.
• Other duties as assigned.
