Job summary

The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice seeks a Program Associate for the US Fund to support grantmaking and day-to-day activities within the program team. The successful candidate will work with a team of 11 to advance LGBTQI racial and gender justice through accompaniment, technical assistance, and strategic partnerships.

Based in New York ideally, the role also allows remote work for those based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of programmatic experience in social justice, human rights and/or philanthropic fields.

Responsibilities

• Support US Fund grantmaking activities and proposal review.
• Assist Program Officers with endorsements and applicant communications.
• Prepare grants dockets and materials for advisory meetings.
• Coordinate grantee accompaniment activities and logistics.
• Provide logistical support for Racial Justice Fund calls.
• Work with Senior Grants Manager on disbursements.
• Maintain grantee data and filing.
• Collaborate with Communications and Development to share grantee info.
• Participate in organization-wide working groups.
