Job summary

The Stryker Johnston Foundation, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, seeks a full-time Operations Coordinator to support the Executive Director and Grant Program Manager. You will assist with grant programs, internal operations, scheduling, invoicing, and communications with grant partners.

A strong emphasis on trust-based grantmaking and process improvement guides the role. Ideal candidates have an associates degree, 2-4 years office experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of progressively more responsible experience in an office environment.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer and software skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations, event planning, web platforms, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to general foundation inquiries.
• Provide support to Executive Director and Grant Program Manager with scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Draft agendas, plan meetings, arrange refreshments and room setup/breakdown, and manage travel itineraries.
• Coordinate tasks with professional services contractors and process invoices.
• Update website and online service platforms, draft e-newsletters, and maintain grant management systems and databases.
• Provide customer support to grant applicants and partners, and assist with grant reviews and reporting.
