Herbert Simon Family Foundation seeks an Operations Manager to steward governance processes, coordinate stakeholders, and create operational clarity across leadership, the Board, staff, and family members.

This role designs systems, organizes complex information, and ensures decisions move forward with discretion and follow-through. The Operations Manager balances execution with strategic guidance for a growing philanthropic enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in foundation, nonprofit, family-office, project management, governance, operations, or similarly complex coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce or similar CRM, and project management software; ability to learn new systems quickly like SmartSimple.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain Board meeting cadence, agendas, materials, and decision flow with Foundation leadership.
• Coordinate information across Executive Director, Board members, family members, staff, and advisory partners.
• Identify friction and gaps in workflows and recommend practical improvements.
• Translate complex discussions into clear actions, owners, and timelines.
