Job summary

SPUR, a leading civic planning nonprofit in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a Grants Manager to manage foundation and government grant portfolios across San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland. You will write proposals, track reporting, cultivate funder relationships, and coordinate with Finance.

The role requires a proactive development professional with attention to detail, strong communication, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to prepare compelling grant proposals.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience navigating complex grant applications and reporting systems; discretion and judgment.
• Proficiency with office software and data management tools; quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Write LOIs, applications and full proposals by submission deadlines.
• Track, write and coordinate required grant reports.
• Cultivate relationships with current funders and identify new funders.
• Collaborate with Finance to develop financial reports and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain foundation data in SPUR’s Salesforce system and track deadlines.
• Support Chief Development Officer and CEO in identifying funding opportunities.
