Job summary

Lamar University Foundation in Beaumont, TX seeks a Financial Operations Associate to manage all gifts and ensure accurate coding and accounting data entry. You will process donations, disbursements, and donor receipts, and support monthly reconciliations with the Sr.

Accountant. The role requires coordinating with university managers and executives, preparing monthly reports, and maintaining compliant records using MIP and Millennium software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting processes or donor transactions.
• Strong communication and computer skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage all gifts received by the Foundation, including documentation and coding.
• Process disbursement requests for endowments and funds; issue checks as needed.
• Prepare accounting records for donations in MIP/Millennium; monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain donor receipts and work with university gift processing team.
• Produce monthly reports; communicate with internal/external constituents.
