Job summary

Randolph County, NC is seeking a foster care social worker to provide counseling and case management for children removed from homes due to abuse or neglect. The role involves assisting families to access services, create safe housing, and establish permanency plans, including court-reported outcomes and PPAT involvement.

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work or related clinical degree; relevant licensure may be required.
Direct experience in child welfare, case management, and family services is preferred.
Knowledge of court processes and permanency planning for foster care is expected.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling and case management for children and families affected by child removal due to abuse/neglect.
Assist families in accessing community services, safe housing, and safer child-rearing practices.
Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of contacts, services, and court reports.
Provide recommendations to the court and participate in permanency planning and PPAT meetings.
