Job summary

StepStone Family & Youth Services in Kentucky is seeking a driven Foster Parent Recruiter to identify, engage, and recruit qualified foster families across Salt Lick, Prestonsburg, and Richmond.

You will develop targeted recruitment plans, manage candidate pipelines, guide families through licensing, collaborate with program leadership and referral sources, and promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices to support youth in care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• 3–5 years in full-cycle recruiting in fast-paced environment
• Experience in sales, insurance, or financial services recruiting preferred
• Knowledge of recruiting strategies including social media
• Strong phone and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Track record of achieving targets

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective foster parents and build community relations
• Develop proactive recruitment plans and maintain candidate pipeline
• Respond to inquiries by phone within 24 hours
• Support licensing requirements and certification processes
• Complete parent interviews, background checks, home inspections
• Maintain foster parent files per regulations
• Assist in placement and matching of youth and foster families
• Travel to affiliate locations and recruitment events
• Collaborate with program leadership and referral sources
• Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices
