Responsibilities

• Engage, support, and grow foster and kinship homes to enhance placement stability.
• Assess foster home needs and growth potential to determine best placement matches for children.
• Ensure foster homes meet and maintain certification requirements and training standards.
• Conduct community-based visits with foster homes and youth in placement.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with program requirements and documentation standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and state guidelines.
• Provide on-call crisis support to foster homes on a rotational basis to prevent placement disruptions.
• Support foster parents in understanding policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure high-quality placement coordination and support services.
• Monitor home compliance with applicable state regulations and agency standards.
• Onboard, train and support inquiring homes through the certification process.
• Assist foster homes in completing required training and development activities.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Track caseload progress and support quarterly incentive goals tied to performance metrics.

About The Role

The Foster Home Supervisor supports the foster care program by engaging, supporting, and growing foster and kinship homes to ensure the best possible placements for children. This role works directly with a team and foster homes to assess needs, identify growth opportunities, and ensure homes meet and maintain certification requirements. The Foster Home Supervisor operates in a dynamic environment that includes community-based home visits, engagement with youth placed in foster homes, and office-based responsibilities to ensure required documentation and compliance. Providing more flexibility and experience opportunities, the role also support the outreach and development of new homes for the agency. This position also provides on-call support on a rotational basis to assist foster homes in crisis situations and prevent placement disruptions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, or related field)
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
• Ability to obtain SAFE Certification (may be completed upon hire)
• Preferred: Experience in youth service programs such as Foster Care, Child Welfare, or Social Services
• Preferred: Knowledge of Volume 7 Colorado State Rules & Regulations
