Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of training program administration.

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle; proof of liability insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment of foster parents for the Foster Care program; write letters, place ads, give presentations; handle inquiries.
• Recruit and develop foster homes; participate in public relations to educate the community about resource needs.
• Manage licensing, assessment, and support processes to ensure compliance with Licensing Standards; renew licenses as required.
• Maintain supportive relationships with foster care resources; identify training and support needs; strengthen relationships with foster parents.
• Coordinate visits with placing agency/family; assist with transportation for visits and appointments.
• Assist foster parents with age-appropriate therapeutic and leisure activities.
• Consult with staff on selection of foster resources; recommend support services.
• Conduct investigations related to complaints about licensed homes; develop corrective action plans; recommend licensing enforcement when appropriate.
• Participate in regional needs assessment to identify foster care needs.
• Provide/maintain monthly reports and documentation.
