Job summary

MCHS is seeking a Foster Grandparent Coordinator to assist the Foster Grandparent Supervisor in delivering professional case management services for foster grandparents and the children and families served in our community.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least one year of relevant experience, and a commitment to serving aging populations and youth. Strong communication, organizational, and driving capabilities are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Psychology, or related discipline preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience in a community-based program.
• Must meet the State’s Moral Character standard.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, assessment, and ongoing support to Foster Grandparents and Foster Grandchildren.
• Coordinate and schedule site visits between the Foster Grandparent and the site.
• Refer Foster Grandparents to resources needed for site assignments.
• Coach Foster Grandparents in verbal de-escalation and trainings.
• Maintain professional relationships with Foster Grandparents and site supervisors.
• Compile statistics, prepare reports, and maintain files as necessary.
