Job summary

Family Support Services of Suncoast Admin Office in Largo, FL seeks a Licensing & Family Engagement Liaison to represent the Licensing Department in MDTs and case discussions. You will provide caregiver perspectives, licensing considerations, and foster family supports to promote safety and permanency.

You will also facilitate icebreaker meetings between foster and birth parents, support shared parenting, and help strengthen communication and collaboration among caregivers and families,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years in child welfare or related field; foster families experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; Child Welfare Certification preferred.
• Experience facilitating meetings and family-centered conversations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend MDTs, placement staffings, permanency staffings, and other case-related meetings as Licensing Department representative.
• Provide information regarding caregiver strengths, household dynamics, and available supports.
• Share caregiver perspectives and concerns to ensure informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with Case Management, CPI, Kinship, Family Finding, service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate relevant information and action items to Licensing leadership and staff as appropriate.
