Job summary

Aspiranet in California seeks a compassionate Support Counselor to join our Foster Care & Adoption team in Turlock. Provide one-on-one support for up to six children and their families with weekly home visits.

This part-time, on-site role requires a degree in social services with relevant experience, trauma-informed care, and strong collaboration with social workers. Competitive pay is $18–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social services or related field with 1 year of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 6 months experience.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience with children, youth, and families in supportive or counseling roles.
• Background clearances, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supportive services and interventions to children and youth.
• Conduct weekly home visits and individualized sessions with clients and families.
• Use trauma-informed care approaches to address challenging behaviors with empathy and assertiveness.
• Develop creative strategies to help clients build coping skills and resilience.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client contacts, progress, and interventions.
