Qualifications

• Valid Alaska driver's license and insurable driving history.
• One year experience in a human services or related field.
• Two years work experience as Foster Care Specialist I, or three years in human services.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and license new foster homes using multiple channels.
• Process applications and attachments for licensing.
• Orient foster parents to licensing procedures.
• Provide ongoing training and consultation to foster parents.
• Complete home assessments and safety checks.
• Report licensing violations to the Office of Children's Services.
• Travel to villages to complete licensing procedures.
• Attend case reviews and meetings related to foster care.
• Maintain confidential records and paperwork.
• Assist with moving children to new placements when needed.
• Commit to professional development.
