Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MSW preferred.
• Background clearances and fingerprinting required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Connections.
• Bilingual abilities encouraged.
• Valid NYS Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial treatment and behavioral plan within 30 days of assignment.
• Conduct ongoing face-to-face contacts with the child on caseload to assess safety and risk.
• Complete quarterly clothing checks or as needed.
• Complete ongoing documentation in Connections within 7 business days of the event date.
• Work on individualized goals with the child including social skills, coping techniques, impulse control, and relationship building.
• Make referrals for services for children and families (Health Homes, CFTSS, Preventive, therapy).
• Engage the child in community-based activities, at least monthly.
• Work with the child on socialization issues and accompany to activities.
• Support foster parent and birthparent with treatment and crisis intervention.
