Job summary

A leading child welfare organization in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Socio-Therapist Supervisor to oversee socio-therapists providing behavioral plans for children in foster care. The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and supervisory experience in child welfare. Responsibilities include staff training, case assessments, and ensuring service delivery. Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience as a supervisor in child welfare.
• 2+ years of foster care work experience.
• A valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all assigned staff.
• Make ongoing assessments for safety, permanency and well-being on all cases.
• Coordinate monthly staff meetings with socio-therapists and casework staff.
• Provide ongoing supervision to socio-therapists and document monthly supervisory progress notes.
• Respond to emergencies as needed and/or directed.

Skills

Licensed Master’s Degree in Social Work

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
