Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a Foster-care Coordinator to develop and facilitate volunteer foster-care programs (medical, behavioral, foster-to-adopt, dog-day-out/overnight) in Champaign, IL.

The role involves recruiting and training volunteers, creating protocols, coordinating with the medical team, scheduling outings, documenting behavior and photos, and supporting Adoption Staff and Event Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering in an animal shelter.
• Experience training or supervising volunteers or teams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate volunteer foster-care programs (medical, behavioral, foster-to-adopt, dog-day-out/overnight).
• Recruit and train volunteers and teams.
• Create protocols and training materials for volunteers.
• Coordinate with medical team and Adoption Staff.
• Schedule outings and document behavior/photos.
• Maintain forms and handbooks; support events.
