Job summary

PAWS Chicago seeks a Foster Program Manager to lead day-to-day operations, manage the foster team, and coordinate placement efforts to support lifesaving goals. You will implement best practices, supervise staff, and collaborate across departments to ensure timely, thoughtful placements that improve animal outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with weekend/evening availability and a Tue–Sat schedule. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for the Foster Program Manager role.
• Experience managing a team and coordinating foster care operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and coordinate support for the foster program.
• Supervise foster staff, coach teams, and support onboarding and development.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure timely, thoughtful placements.
• Improve foster operations to reduce shelter length of stay and improve outcomes.
