Job summary

Wolverine Human Services is seeking a Foster Care Director to lead the foster care program in Michigan. You will supervise supervisors, oversee licensing, and ensure compliance with licensing, contractual, and court requirements.

You will collaborate with DHHS, courts, attorneys, GALs/CASA, schools, providers, families, and community partners, while guiding budget decisions and resource allocation to support safety, stability, and permanency for children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Behavioral Science.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced leadership role.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in foster care, adoption, or licensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the foster care program.
• Establish program goals, expectations, and performance standards.
• Supervise foster care supervisors and licensing staff.
• Monitor child safety, placement stability, and progress toward permanency.
• Ensure timely case documentation, court reports, and records.
