National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) seeks a Licensing Coordinator (Foster Care) to maintain annual re-certifications, recruit and retain quality foster homes, and ensure compliance with community and organizational needs. This role works with foster parents and community partners to advocate for youth to live safely and successfully in the community.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field, licensure, and experience with youth and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid professional licensure; LSW preferred.
• 1 year of work experience in direct service with youth and families.
• Willingness to obtain Tier 1 and Tier 2 certifications.
• Flexible and non-traditional hours to support foster caregivers and youth.
• Strong time management and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies generating inquiries for licensed foster homes.
• Support foster parents in understanding youth needs and reunification goals.
• Retain foster families and complete face-to-face meetings to maintain licensure.
• Meet with foster parents to remove barriers in licensing process.
• Complete comprehensive home studies and submit for approval.
• Maintain foster home records in systems and provide ongoing training and support.
• Complete annual evaluations and recertifications for licensed homes.
• Prepare adoption finalization paperwork.
• Travel daily to provide community-based services for youth and families.
