Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Licensing Coordinator to recruit, license, and support foster homes. Under supervision, you will ensure homes meet community and organizational standards and work toward reunification goals.

The role requires strong collaboration, travel within the region, and the ability to manage paperwork, training, and regulatory compliance. NYAP offers comprehensive benefits and a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience in direct service with youth and families preferred.
• Valid professional license as required by state law and/or regulatory bodies.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in service of foster caregivers and families.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies for licensed foster homes.
• Meet with potential families to assist in licensing and answer questions.
• Maintain and update foster home records in appropriate systems.
• Provide ongoing training and support to licensed foster homes.
• Travel daily to provide community-based services to youth and families.
• Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and policies related to foster care.
