Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a Foster Care Liaison to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and to support enrollment, stability, and academic success for foster youth. The role collaborates with schools, social services, courts, caregivers, and community partners to minimize disruption in education.

The position involves coordinating enrollment, transportation, and data reporting, training staff, and facilitating Best Interest Determination meetings to guide placement

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Three to five years of experience working with youth and families in educational, governmental, or community-based programs.
• Experience in or with PreK–12 schools preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes policies for youth in foster care that align with laws and educational stability requirements.
• Maintains processes for tracking enrollment, attendance, and academic data for foster care students.
• Facilitates school enrollment, records requests, and transfers to minimize educational disruptions.
• Coordinates transportation services to support students remaining in their school of origin.
• Provides training and guidance on foster care regulations and enrollment procedures.
